About Charnwood Eco Hub CIC
Charnwood Eco Hub CIC was founded by friends Emma Ward and Sarah Goode, who share a passion for protecting the environment and creating practical ways for local people to live more sustainably. Having both been involved in environmental and community projects across Charnwood for many years, they recognised the need for a central hub where people could access resources, learn new skills, and connect with others who care about the planet.
Today, Charnwood Eco Hub brings together a range of community-led environmental initiatives under one roof, including our Scrapstore, Library of Things, Refill Station and community workshops. Through these services, we help people save money, reduce waste, reuse resources, repair rather than replace, and gain the skills and confidence to live more sustainably.
We’re also delighted to have Clive Bagley as a Director. Clive spent over 30 years as a director at DIAM, an international manufacturer of bespoke point-of-sale solutions, bringing extensive leadership, strategic and commercial experience to the organisation. A passionate maker and lifelong tinkerer, Clive leads the development of our community Makerspace, helping create a welcoming space where people can repair, create, learn new skills and share knowledge, extending the life of everyday items and inspiring creativity within the community.
Together, our board combines expertise in community development, sustainability, governance and business, ensuring Charnwood Eco Hub continues to grow as an accessible, welcoming space that enables people to take practical action for both the environment and their local community.
